Proton Annihilation at Darmstadt - PANDA
The FAIR research program PANDA will use antiproton beams of unprecedented intensity and quality.
These will produce in interactions with proton target a variety of composite particles containing strange and charm quarks.
Czech scientists significantly contribute to research, development and construction of PbWO4 crystal based electromagnetic calorimeter and to Micro vertex detector. Strong interaction with Czech industry is developed – cooperation with company CRYTUR on development of production methods and mass crystal production.
