CANAM laboratories are connected to large research infrastructures in Europe or are members of infrastructure consortiums. Specific collaborations with respected research centers, offering open access for external users, are mostly based on bilateral agreements.

The main activities concern:

• joint experiments at facilities of participants
• joint experiments at large international facilities
• participation in intercomparison programs
• exchange of researchers and Ph.D. students
• training of young researchers and Ph.D. students
• collaboration in development of new experimental devices
• exchange of scientific and technical information
