Do the prices include VAT?

No, the listed prices do not include 21% VAT.

Will I get a discount?

It is possible to get a discount on research or in case of a topic beneficial to society as a whole after it’s approved by the laboratory board. It is necessary to submit a request for a discount with a brief description of the topic to get the approval.

When will I receive an invoice?

You will receive an invoice after a successful analysis. If the analysis fails for any reason, we will not charge you anything.

Do I have enough material for radiocarbon dating?

Each type of material contains a different amount of carbon, and also the processing yield varies depending on the type of sample. Therefore, the sample weight necessary for radiocarbon dating varies. Please check the weight of your sample and options for its dating in the table.

The weight of my sample is lower than the minimum required.

With the consent of the client, we can try to date the sample; however, there is an increased risk of failure.

My sample is contaminated; what should I do?

Some samples, such as samples from museum archives, are treated with various organic substances containing foreign carbon. We are able to successfully remove some types of contamination. Please consult it with Ivo Světlík, and don’t forget to include your suspicion in the entry form.

Where should I send the sample?

Please fill in the entry form and send the sample together with the order to the address: CRL, Oddělení dozimetrie záření, Na Truhlářce 39/64, 180 00 Praha 8.

The results does not match my expectations.
